We call this "Christmas in a Bottle" Each year, we make a small batch of Christmas Spice extract. When it is gone, that's it until the following year. This extract has Orange peel, Cloves, Cinnamon Sticks, Vanilla Beans, Star Anise and Allspice. It is all the familiar smells of holiday cooking.
Wonderful in mulled cider, gingerbread, chocolate chip cookies, it adds a wonderful spicey flavor to familiar treats.
